Ganesh Melarkode, a career professional (CA), budding writer with a very bright outlook for life, our close friend and a lovely person, has unfortunately been afflicted with Oral Cancer that too for the  Third time.

He was initially diagnosed for Oral Cancer in 2012. Mandibloctumy was done where in his left jaw was replaced by a fibula from his right leg.
He thereafter went through several cycles of Chemotherapy and Radiation and lead a cancer free life for 4 years.

In March 2017 the Cancer recurred . Another surgery in May 2017, by removing the fibula and replacing it with pectoral muscle from chest. Another bout of Radiation was given in July and August.

Unfortunately Cancer has recurred for 3rd time on the opposite (right) jaw.

Due to all these Surgeries and his being out of employment for more than 5 years, his financial condition has deteriorated tremendously. He is finding it difficult to fund his surgery.
Being a cancer survivor for more than 5 years, he is not covered under Insurance.
He is 61, and a senior citizen who requires help.

We have planned a crowd funding drive with a target of collecting Rs 10 lakhs which is the expected cost of surgery and chemotherapy.
These funds are required before 15th December 2017 as Surgery is planned around 20th of December 2017.
