    Sanjida Begum

    from Kolkata, West Bengal

Dear friends,

I am writing this to raise the hope for the best to happen for 44 years old Sanjida from Kolkata who's fighting all odds to beat cancer. She's a teacher besides being a mother of two. Her husband is also a teacher.

Sanjida was diagnosed with Poorly Differentiated Adecarcinoma in Stomach on June,2017. She was initially taken to TMC, Kolkata where she was backed with a very little hope for life. Afterwards She was taken to TATA Memorial Hospital, Mumbai in attempt to get the best treatment available for this diseases in India.

She had to undergo various tests including a laparoscopic surgery to clarify the stage of her diseases. Doctors assessed that she's not surgically fit as the cancer had spread to multiple distant organs. So chemotherapy was the only feasible treatment option. We hoped for the best and waited for the response of her body to the chemotherapy. Luckily she responded well to the drugs and there's a blooming chance of surgery and consequent chance of recovery.

But the expenses of this treatment is pretty high. Currently she's going through a chemotherapy schedule of 21 days cycle(earlier it was 14 days). So there's a huge expenditure at the end of every 3rd week. Staying abroad in a city like Mumbai drains a lot of money too. Also the the surgery that we are hoping for, will cost around 1200000 INR.

She didn't have any medical insurance to support her in this difficult path of life. She and her family are in dire need of fund to afford this treatment. Those of us who are willing to support this please come forward and give a helping hand by raising funds best to our capacity to give her a reason for hope. Together we can make a difference and give Sanjida a chance to recover completely.
