Hey Everyone.

About us
The greatest prize, a student can give a teacher is to perform the art he taught in front of him and the like-minded audience who would embrace the art performed. Team Satvika and Rangapayana is all set to give an ode of gratitude to their beloved master Shri. Rajguru Hosakote. Yes, dated back to December 2, 2018, its been 30 years of musical journey for Sri. Rajguru Hosakote sir. On this auspicious account of celebration, we named the celebratory event- “Gurugaanadeekshe”.

About Rajguru
Rajguru Hosakote is basically from Uttara Karnataka. He was born to Janapada Pandith Gururaja Hosakote and Kamala Gururaj in 1983. He was only 4 years old when he ventured his passion towards music. He came up on the stage at the age of 4 and it was by an accidental event. It was year 1988, when his father asked him all of a sudden, to sing a song on the stage as a person with dholak was abruptly absent that day, he sang and he played and won the hearts of the audience!

As he attained expertise in various folklore dance forms, He also choreographed various dance shows in famous colleges after then. He had deep thoughts on making his way towards “Rangabhoomi”. As a beacon for a sailor, in the middle of the ocean, Sri. Krishnamurthy Kavatthaar became Rajguru sir’s master…

He first set his foot on the stage as an actor in the “Kamsaayana”, written by H.S Venkatesh Murthy sir. After few years, he built a Theatre group called Satvika, tagged along 30 artists and he performed “Baduku Jatakaabandi”, a drama written by himself. The Show was directed by Rajguru sir’s guru Sri. Krishnamurthy Kavatthar.. Apart from this. Mamamoshi, Heyraam, 55 nimishada ondu premakathe, shareefa, etc are being performed by Satvika Kala Group, even now. “55 nimishada ondu premakathe constitutes 9 artists. This play set Limka record of being played in Bangalore’s 9 various venues at the same time! “Nadiya Nenapina Hangu”, a novel written by the renowned writer Jogi, have beautifully turned into a play called “Balla moolagala prakaara” by Rajguru sir. Gulaabi gang’u, Maadari Maadayya, Bhoomi, Gowdra Kwaana Vadarathaithi, Shraddha, Kaakanakote are some pf the plays Rajguru sir have directed.

He worked under Nagendraparasad sir as an art director for his films, when he was studying in college. As Ekalavya to the guru Dronachaarya, Rajguru sir got constant inspiration from Nagendraprasad sir to write and he did become a Savyasaachi (allrounder) of Performing Arts!

As a Vocalist, Music director, Art Director, Theatre director, Backstage-light director technician, Prop- artist, he dives into the ocean of Performing Arts each day and relishes the thrill in him. Another feather to his cap is that he is directing a movie “Samayada hinde Savaari” based on the novel “Nadiya Nenapina Hangu” written by Jogi sir, which was primarily put out as a play called “Balla Moolagala Prakaara”. The movie is all set to hit the silver screen soon.As Rajguru sir have idolised the legendary Shankar Nag sir, he has made his lifetime goal to perform Naatakotsav under his name. “Shankar Nag Naatakotsav” addresses the debut artists and also adores “Shankar Nag Award” to the deserved artists.

As an ever-active Actor-Director, Musician in the Rangabhoomi, Rajguru sir have caught attention of various awards and he is given an ode of respect as Vishwamaanava Kannadiga, kalaasiri, janapada garudiga, janapada kogile, The icon of the year by Yuva samsthe, 2005’s Times Of India’s best involved musician, janapada siri, 2018’s CGK award etc are some of them to name…
