Help Pooja Burman Heal from Years of Abuse and Neglect
Pooja Burman is an abused and neglected 18-year old mentally & physically disabled girl. On 31 May 2018, she was brought to my Ashram (a Home for mentally challenged orphans) in Palam Vihar Gurgaon by her mother, Sapna. Pooja weighed only 25kg!
Sapna's husband and two adult sons had been threatening and attempting to kill Pooja by starving her and locking her in a room all day and night. Pooja's mother was desperate for help. We enrolled Pooja in our DayCare for children with disabilities, run by Samarpan Trust (www.samarpantrust.co).
That same day, Pooja started having seizures and was vomiting 7-inch long worms. We rushed her to Columbia Asia hospital where she was then transferred to Civil Hospital. I stayed by her side in the hospital for over a week as she underwent medical tests and treatment.
She is now attending our DayCare daily from 8am to 6pm. She has to continue taking medication for seizures and malnourishment. She needs continual medical supervision. She is also unable to use the restroom on her own so we are providing her with adult diapers and a personal caretaker.
Since Pooja has been enrolled in our DayCare center and undergoing medical treatment, she has improved significantly. In just one month she has gained 4kg. Please consider helping us provide Pooja with the best medical care and basic necessities so she can heal from her past life of neglect and abuse and experience true love, care and acceptance.

We are in need of 150,000/- to cover the annual expense for Pooja's Care and treatment. This includes her diapers, salary of a personal caretaker, clothing & shoes, daily medication, monthly CT Scans and medical Checkups, physical therapy, play therapy, food & nutritional supplements, transportation to and from our DayCare, and all of her basic needs.
Any donation will make a big difference in Pooja's life!

Pooja's condition is improving daily. She did suffer some minor ailments, which we had checked out with doctors in Columbia Asia Hospital. She tested negative for TB which was a great relief. She has began physical therapy and is participating in the daily activities of Samarpan Home.
