Karma Foundation was established in January, 2018 in Pune with a vision of helping animals in need. We believe in using the existing  Veterinary doctors, volunteers & infrastructure to help as many animals as possible. President of Karma Foundation, Mrs. Priya Kailad Makharia has worked towards animal welfare for 12+ years wherein she found the shortage of animal hospitals in Pune City. To fill this void she along with 6 other like minded members started Karma Foundation with a small setup of 10 Dog cages & 20 Cat cages.
In its 1 year of existence Karma Foundation has achieved the following:-
1). Sterilized over 1500+ Cats.
2). Rescued, Treated, Sterilized & Released over 100+ Dogs. (Cases such as Cancer, Amputations, Cruelty, Accidents Etc).
3). Vaccinated over 500+ Dogs against rabies.
4). Treated over 500+ animals on site & in OPD.
5). 5+ lectures conducted for children of different age groups to sensitize them about animals.
6). Increased capacity to 40+ Dogs & 100+ Cats.
7). Setup Sterile & Professional OPD & OT (Operation theater)

Most of the cases we get require a X-ray for which we rely on other vendors. The animal has to be sent for X-ray in our Ambulance which stresses out the animal & also keeps our ambulance occupied & unavailable for other animal pick-ups.

We also get in a lot of Puppies & kittens but are unable to admit them since for any kind of surgery on them we require Gas Anesthesia.
