Gopal is my colleague who worked with me at Suvita computers (my first job, small company). He is a nice person, jovial and always willing to help others.
Gopal had a stroke (block in the blood vessels that go to the brain) for which he was admitted in the hospital, on 11th Dec 2017 and underwent a Procedure. Later, he was found to have clots in the thigh region for which medicines were given. He then had a back to back complication of severe bleed inside the brain and the swelling (accumulation of fluid) inside the brain which did not reduce for which he underwent emergency craniotomy (opening one portion of the skull) and is being observed in Neuro ICU till date. He has been started on Physiotherapy. Gopal is able to see and understand but unable to converse. He is being closely monitored and may be later shifted to a regular ICU. He is paralyzed.
Present expenditure is on the verge of crossing 11 Lakhs INR and since the patient has to be in ICU for more days, we expect the expense to be on the higher side. And then there could be a long duration of therapies, follow-ups, scans, medicines. Gopal has 3 beautiful daughters who are studying in school.
Looking at the current situation he deserves and definitely needs a big contribution to meet out the medical expenses.
