    This fundraiser will benefit

    Cyclone Gaja Victims

    from Thiruthuraipoondi, Tamil Nadu

Cyclone Gaja has devastated the state of Tamil Nadu, leaving many families homeless. More than 45 people have been left dead in its path so far.

Our native district of Thiruvarur in Tamil Nadu has also faced the wrath of Cyclone Gaja. There are several villages in Thirutharaipoondi Taluk where victims have lost their homes, trees, and livestock which are the source of their livelihood.
As these are remote areas, the residents are stuck without food and drinking water for days - men, women, and children have to travel to nearby towns every day to have their basic needs met.
Sadly, these areas are largely ignored by local media and NGOs, because they are difficult to access and to co-ordinate relief efforts. Most of the aid received does not even reach these places.

As part of our efforts to help these remote villages which have been destroyed by Cyclone Gaja, my family will be distributing essential items along with financial aid directly to the victims from the week of November 26 2018.

While all of us are pitching in with what we can, we still need to raise money to buy essential items for distribution like drinking water, food grains and pulses, biscuits, candles, sanitary items (for women and girls), bedsheets, etc.
Along with essential items for basic survival, we will also be handing over financial aid to the heads of households to help them sustain themselves until they can rebuild their homes and livelihoods.

Please help us with your generous contribution toward our efforts to help our people.

PLEASE NOTE: We would be happy to continue receiving your helpful contributions over the next month. However, please keep in mind that the sooner we receive your aid, the sooner we will be able to help pass the money to the victims in need. Thanking you in advance for your help. Do mention
