My father is suffering from kidney cancer (renal cell carcinoma) from 2013. Dr, Deepak Dabkara from Tata Medical Center Kolkata is treating him from the beginning. I could arrange all possible medication for him (Sunitinib, Everlimus namely) and other additional treatments, that includes radiations and regular diagnostic tests till date.
Now his disease is not responding the previous medicines. Doctor had prescribed Nivolumab injection for him (monoclonal antibody). According to the doctor, this is the last line of treatment available to save the life of the patient. The patient is in full sense and he wants to live, but due to the cost of the medicine, it is impossible for me, his only son, to provide him the treatment. Nivolumab Injection 200 mg, 20 dose for this year
Per dose cost ~ INR 2,00,000
Total: 2,00,000 x 20 =INR 40,00,000
To save the life of my father, I am unable to explain, how much helpless now I am. I am the only earning member of my four membered family. I am bearing the expense of cancer treatment from 2013. Now, I am unable to gather fund for this important lifesaving treatment. If some kind of assistance I can get to sanction this INR 40,000,000 I shall be grateful for rest of my life. The patient condition is deteriorating. If I can start the treatment as soon as possible, he can live.
