Help My Father Fight Kidney Cancer

My father is suffering from kidney cancer (renal cell carcinoma) from 2013. Dr, Deepak Dabkara from Tata Medical Center Kolkata is treating him from the beginning. I could arrange all possible medication for him (Sunitinib, Everlimus namely) and other additional treatments, that includes radiations and regular diagnostic tests till date.

Now his disease is not responding the previous medicines. Doctor had prescribed Nivolumab injection for him (monoclonal antibody). According to the doctor, this is the last line of treatment available to save the life of the patient. The patient is in full sense and he wants to live, but due to the cost of the medicine, it is impossible for me, his only son, to provide him the treatment. The details of my latest insurance status and cost of Nivolumab is provided below.

Medication required and cost:
Nivolumab Injection 200 mg, 20 dose for this year
Per dose cost ~ INR 2,00,000
Total: 2,00,000 x 20 =INR 40,00,000

To save the life of my father, I am unable to explain, how much helpless now I am. I am the only earning member of my four membered family. I am bearing the expense of cancer treatment from 2013. Now, I am unable to gather fund for this important lifesaving treatment. If some kind of assistance I can get to sanction this INR 40,000,000 I shall be grateful for rest of my life. The patient condition is deteriorating. If I can start the treatment as soon as possible, he can live.

Dear All,

Hope you and your family are doing great. My father was doing well but last week, I had to admit him to the hospital (Sri Aurobindo Seva Kendra) due to some complications. He was vomiting frequently and that was discolored. Now he is under observation. His BP was low. With some medicine support, BP is being controlled.

Hopefully, he will recover soon and will get discharged from the hospital. Thank you for all your help and support. May you and your family remain safe and healthy in this difficult time.

Regards,
Saptarshi Sarkar.

Dear Supporters,

In this crisis situation, I trust you and your family members are safe and sound. The patient is doing well now, taking food regularly, he is under the continuous care of a medical attendant. The patient is using air mattresses so that any kind of skin infection can be avoided due to continuous pressure on skin.

In March 2020, we had to admit him with complaints of cough, minimal expectoration, and vomiting. He recovered with a very few day's stay at the hospital. So far, palliative care is the only option. I'm providing that as much as possible.

Thank you for all your support on behalf of my family.
