Sponsor School Uniforms of Government School Students

Karnataka has approximately 50,000 government primary, middle and high schools catering to about one crore students, many of them from poor families. The funds available with these schools are insufficient to meet their basic operational needs such as class furniture, blackboards, teaching material, lab equipment etc and hence there is a need for the community to proactively step in and bridge the funding gap.
HelpEd wants to reach out to the Milaap community to seek their kind support for one such government school in south Bangalore. The school requires one set of white colored uniforms for 188 children studying in classes 1 to 8. Since most children come from poor families, their parents either cannot afford or are unwilling to bear such additional expenses to send their kids to school. Your contribution will be of immense help in reducing absenteeism in these classes and lower the larger risk of children dropping out of school.
The detailed class-wise breakup of requirements has been provided in the supporting document. All contributions above Rs 500 will receive a personal thank you note from the school headmistress.
