The pandemic has been harsh for us, we have been struggling financially because the intake of animals are more than ever. Financial support from people have gone down, because a lot of our supporters have lost jobs.
I am Aditi, an animal activist working individually for strays in the outskirts of Mumbai. I run a tiny shelter cum rehab centre in the outskirts that houses my rescued dogs and cats. When the space is full and there is a great need, I take the help of paid and free foster care centres. I have blind, paralyzed and some resident animals that sadly never found homes.
I have built a small team of paid care givers that truly love our animals. We work hard for our animals and do the best to give them a comfortable life. We have residential dogs & cats too. Some are blind, paralysed, old & born with genetic defects, these animals are fully dependent on us.
The expenses for food, staff salaries, foster care bills medicines, vet bills, transportation costs, etc. I try my best to provide quality care with the limited resources I have.We have 50 plus inhouse sick & injured animals, feed over 150 stray animals, and take care of treatment of 50 to 80 animals every month. Each & every dog that come us are also sterilised & vaccinated.
We need your help & support to go on. You empower to do more and to do better.
