    This fundraiser will benefit

    Dhiraj Das

    from Chennai, Tamil Nadu

Update - Now he is able to talk, also is recognizing people and the estimation told by the doctors has also been reduced. So, I am requesting you all to please stop raising funds / donating or transferring as, this amount is sufficient to pay his hospital bills.
Thanks all of you for your support.

On 6th October evening, Dhiraj Das (29 years - Emp ID – 770658) from *** Chennai complained of chest pain and was rushed to the *** doctor in DLF. Post examining, the doctor suggested that we take him to a hospital immediately. We rushed him to MIOT Hospital immediately. Dhiraj was admitted to the Emergency with a condition of severe chest pain and breathing difficulty. while the Doctors were examining him, his chest pain aggravated and and he collapsed. Doctors diagnosed this situation as Ventricular tachycardia where the pulse is more than 100 beats per minute with irregular heartbeats. The doctors tried reviving him by chest massage and CPR and put him on prolonged cardio pulmonary resuscitation for one hour to obtain Normal Rhythm. He was given a life saving injection worth INR 40000 to revive his heart. He has been diagnosed of acute heart attack with severe heart failure.
Since then, he continues to be in ICCU supported by a ventilator and has suffered multiple cardiac arrests. He is on continuous cardiac monitoring for stabilizing the heart failure. His condition is critical and he continues to be on ventilator support. to recover, he is expected to have a prolonged ICCU stay considering severe heart failure and needs time for recovery and rehabilitation.
The financial implications of supporting this treatment are huge. Company HR has worked with team and exceptionally managed an approval for the patient. The hospital has given a tentative estimate of 10 Lakhs out of which 5lacs has been paid by company. However, this amount will not suffice for supporting the prolonged treatment.
Dhijaj's family is financially challenged and are finding it very difficult to manage the expected amount immdiately. Considering the criticality and time sensitivity of the situation, we have decided to come together and raise funds and support Dhiraj's treatment as we didnt want this helplessness in paying the hospital bills to be a show stopper. The entire purpose of this letter is to formally request you to support this initiative and contribute financially. Many from the *** teams and their families have already extended humble support and contributions.
Update - ventilator has been removed now after 4pm on 10th oct.
