Christian families in Chhattisgarh's village who had recently endured an attack by their Adivasi relatives are going hungry as the villagers deprive them of work, and ban shops from selling food grains.

On May 23, a mob of about 150 people tore down the tiled roofs of the three houses of the tribal Christians, throwing out their clothes and other belongings. This attack left 25 homeless, who include four infants.

Families belonging to Virma, Desa and Suba are living under the scanty shade of a Tamarind tree since May 23. They do not have foodgrains and provisions sufficient to feed themselves. Their infants have grown weaker because of continuous exposure to extreme hot sun.

Eternal Joy Society wants to support the victims with provisions, clothing. It can be very difficult for the families to live in open-air during monsoons. The funds raised will be utilized to build a shelter-home for them.
