    This fundraiser will benefit

    Chandrakanta Debbarma

    from Khowai, Tripura

Mr. Chandrakanta Debbarma of Hatkata, Khowai district has been selected anonymously  by United Amateur Muaythai Association – India (UAMAI) the only national Muaythai governing body in India to represent India under -60kg weight category in Asian Muaythai Championship which will be held in Macau – China, from December 4th to 10th 2018. The championship is very important as this will be qualifier to Arafura Games of 2019 and World Games.
Mr. Debbarma is a very talented athlete he has been medalist in the last three years National Championship. This is for pride of Tripura that he will be representing India in so prestigious championship under International Federation of Muaythai Amateur – IFMA an organization which is recognized by International Olympic council – IOC but, as he is from a poor financial background so question arises whether he will be able to participate in the Championship or not. When telephonic interview was done with him regarding this selection he said that “I am very excited and eager to perform well and bring laurels to our state and country as a whole but I am also afraid that my financial status is so weak and broke therefore, I urge upon all well-wishers to support me financially in this hour of need“.
I am trying my best to help Mr. Debbarma and request people to sponsor him as much as possible because he is the only person selected from the state to participate in Maccau – China for Asian Championship. As because our association is not yet funded by Tripura Sports Council – Government of Tripura so, we are still struggling to fund ourselves and participate in all the championships, we believe people trust us in our works and dedication for sports development in Tripura, said President of All Tripura Amateur Muaythai Association Shri Prasenjit Singha.
