Bishnu Rai is an excellent driver, or at least he used to be. He has been driving tourists around in Sikkim for years and has been their daju throughout the journey. A doting father, he had three kids - Passangkit - his 21 year old adopted daughter, Nikita and Nikhil - 15 and 11 respectively.


On September 20th 2017, his world literally came crashing down when his house in Upper Ghurpisay collapsed due to landslide; at 2AM in the night. All three kids were buried in the debris and were found dead by the rescue team. Bishnu and his wife Ram Kumari were severely injured; and are still undergoing treatment for spinal injury. The house is completely demolished. Due to the spinal injury, Bishnu will not be able to drive for a long time to come. We are raising funds to help him rebuild his life again. Primarily for medical expenses and also to help him get back on his feet. Currently he is living with his in-laws.
