Bhavya, like any other young girls her age, was perfectly healthy and was busy with her Accounting studies. It was back in January that Bhavya started experiencing severe back pain. The pain was so bad that she could no longer sit for long. She then noticed a swelling in her lower back and chest wall. After running a series of tests Bhavya was diagnosed with Ewings Sarcoma, a rare tumour affecting bones and soft tissues on 12th March 2018.

Immediately after she was diagnosed, Doctors had scheduled her for Chemotherapy. It was quite hard for the family to come in terms with this fact. Bhavya’s father, a labourer being the only source of bread and butter for the family had no enough savings to carry out her treatment.

As it is said NOT ALL HEROES WEAR CAPES, Sachin Kumar a long time friend and love of her life came up and stood for her. Unlike many others around, Sachin refused to give upon Bhavya, cursing the fate.
“There is absolutely nothing worse than watching her struggle to sit or walk for a while. We are not going to sit back and curse the fate. I can’t afford to lose her.” SACHIN

Sachin gave up his studies and started working day in and out for her treatment. After her first Chemo, Bhavya got engaged to Sachin. Despite the serious side effects of Chemo, this gave her the strength to stay strong and fight the odds till her 7th Chemo. Showing the world that there’s nothing greater than true love, Sachin and Bhavya tied the knot in a temple nearby.

After the 7 cycles of chemo, her family is left with nothing to continue the further treatments. Bhavya’s family is trying their best to make the two ends meet but now they are unable to do this any longer.
