We are a team of IDEX Fellows based in Bangalore and we are trying to raise funds for Bhavya, an 18 year old girl who is suffering from scoliosis and needs immediate surgery (scoliosis correction and spinal cord detethering). Bhavya resides in Koramangala, Bangalore, and we have personally met the family.

How much does the surgery cost?
The total cost of the surgery is INR 5 lakh and the family has already managed to secure INR 3.5 - 4 lakh. We are looking to fund raise only INR 1 lakh. All the money collected will be automatically transferred to Manipal Hospital's bank account.

Dear Supporters,
Bhavya was operated on 30 Nov 2016 in Manipal hospital. Her operation lasted 11 hours and was successful! She is still in ICU and under observation. Doctors are very optimistic about her recovery.
Thanks to all your support we were able to raise INR 1 Lakh for her surgery. Family was relying on INR 2.5 Lakhs to come from PMO, but it has not turned up yet. Hence, we are again relying on YOU to support Bhavya. We are raising additional INR 2 Lakhs.
