    Dimple Verma

    from Mumbai, Maharashtra

Blessed are families which are bestowed with kids who are fully fit, & not suffering from any deformities.

Unfortunately, that is not the case with the Verma Family.

Ridansh was diagnosed with Respiratory Distress, Hypoxic-ischemic Encephalopathy & Nonoliguric acute renal failure. This is because the baby did not cry at the time of birth and supply of oxygen to the brains was very limited. He had to be admitted to the Wockhardt Hospital for 7 days of which for 6 days he was on the ventilator. The couple wiped off its life savings to pay the hospital bill of Rs 146.178.

Ridansh's father is not educated and works with a plywood shop for a monthly income of Rs 15000 of which Rs 7000 is paid as monthly rentals, remaining is utilised towards monthly expenses of the house and the baby's treatment.

Currently, he is being treated by a neurologist at the Bhakti Vedanta Hospital at Bhayendar and he is not even able to hold his neck properly, forget about standing/ walking like kids of approx. same age would do. He requires treatment & physiotherapy for at least a year in order to be on his feet and to hold his neck appropriately at one place.

His mother says now only God can help her child to be on his feet. She has been working really hard since past one & a half year from the time Ridansh was born for his physiotherapy/ treatment, which costs approximately Rs 250 per day (doc estimation for a year's therapy attached).

Ridansh has only a few months within which he needs to be treated with prolonged physio, else he may not be ever on his feet and may remain confined to a chair for life. His mother only wishes that he should be independent enough to carry out his own tasks such as bathing, walking etc.

We kindly appeal to you help fulfil a mother's only dream to see her kid of his feet.
