"Hi Everyone,
I am Reetu. I am 40 years old and the mother of two adorable children, aged three and six years.
Thankfully, this is not for either of them. It's for me. I’m fighting an aggressive and dreaded form of blood cancer (Acute Myeloid Leukemia). I was treated during Oct 2016- Feb 2017 and the disease was under remission for more than a year. We were elated beyond measure.
Unfortunately, and as is the case with diseases like these, my cancer resurfaced in July 2018.
The choice of treatment by doctors at Tata Memorial Hospital (Mumbai) and Ruby Hall Clinic (Pune) is Chemotherapy, followed by a Bone Marrow Transplant at the earliest. This requires 2-3 months of hospitalization and a cost of around Rs 30 lakhs.
My previous treatment has drained my entire family of funds. And now, with this new life-threatening development My family and I are faced with a big challenge of raising a huge amount of funds in such a short span of next 5-6 weeks, for the treatment.
I am looking for help by way of donation/funds to support my treatment. Your support (as small or large) would mean the world to me and more importantly, to my two kids. It will give me another chance to repay the society by continuing my community work which I’ve been doing over the past decade.
