Guru Hanuman was a legendary wrestling coach of India who coached many medal-winning wrestlers. He was awarded the prestigious Dronacharya Award in 1988, the highest recognition for a sports coach in India, and the Padma Shri in 1983. It is the oldest akhara existing in India, that has produced National and International wrestlers for India.
With due respect and understanding of the fact that these immensely talented boys may not be coming from economically stable backgrounds, and their immense potential to bring great honor to the country, their training has been kept free by the government.

There remains yet an issue of their nutrition, which includes  a planned and very essential diet including nutrients like proteins, multi-vitamins etc. They derive the same from various sources, which are consumed in prescribed quantities. They need around 3 litres of milk a day, per person, other juices, and sources of nutrients. The average cost per person, per month is around Rs. 25,000.

This cost is too much for these young players to afford, as a result of which they are unable to utilize their potential to the fullest. 

This fundraising campaign aims to provide the diet for 5 promising wrestlers-- Aryan, Nikhil, Ravinder, Chancha and Amit, They all hail from families whose main occupation is farming, but have won several awards and have the potential of doing a lot more to bring glory to the nation.
