The fundraiser is for my parents. My father Dr.Vinay Kumar Srivastava(58 years old) was diagnosed with chronic liver disease(CLD) NonAlcoholic Steatohepatitis(NASH) couple of years ago. Until recently he was clinically ok, however, due to the complications of CLD-NASH he underwent liver transplant surgery as advised by doctors.We waited for a cadaveric organ for quite some time but it did not materialize. My mother Amita Srivastava(55 years old) took the brave step of donating a part of her liver to save dad's life.The surgery was done on 30th January 2017 at Medanta the Medicity Hospital, Gurgaon.My mother has been discharged, my fathter would be discharged soon.I would require the funds for next 45-60 days regarding post liver transplant charges of the hospital, medication, investigations.
