Mr. Chavali Varunkrishna has been diagnosed with Thalassemia Major. This is. a type of blood disorder. The best option for him would be to undergo allogeneic peripheral blood stem cell transplant (PDSCT). His father (Mr. Chavali Veeraiah) is HLA matched and can serve as a peripheral blood stem cell donor.
His family comes from a poor background and cannot afford the costs associated with the required treatment, hence any help would be really appreciated.
The estimated cost of PBSCT is approximately Rs. 14,00,000 (Fourteen Lakhs). The cost may increase in case of any unforeseen complications. His family currently have savings of Rs. 4,00,000 and remaining Rs. 10,00,000 is needed.
