    Uttoron Barbora

    from Guwahati, Assam

Our only son Uttoron, who was studying in Delhi, met with a traumatic car accident on 5th September 2018 in Noida, and has been admitted since in Kailash Hospital and Heart Institute, Sector 27, Noida, with multiple injuries: shattered skull, punctured lungs, a damaged kidney, a fractured arm, and multiple cuts and bruises. His skull had to be reconstructed through surgery immediately following the accident, and he was admitted into the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). His stay in the ICU has been fraught with setbacks. He contacted infections which lasted for weeks, and required strong antibiotic medicines amounting to thousands of rupees daily. Moreover, he had to undergo dialysis every alternate day for almost a month as one of his kidneys is irreparable, and the antibiotics were taking a toll on his only functioning kidney.

After spending 35 days in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), he was finally moved out to a (High Dependency Unit) HDU with slight improvement.

Unfortunately, there was cerebro-spinal fluid retention in his brain, which is caused by such severe trauma to the skull, and this has led to internal bleeding in the brain.  He had to be moved back into the ICU day before yesterday. The ICU charges are around Rs. 40000 per day, and he requires medicines worth another RS. 50000 each day to dissolve the blood clots in his brain. We have spent around RS.45,00,000 on his treatment and have exhausted all our funds. The treatment has to continue for an indefinite period of time till he recovers.

This is an appeal to help us continue our child's treatment. Please help us by contributing any amount you can, and sharing this campaign with your network to support his treatment. We would be forever grateful for your help.
