I haven't met with an accident. I don't know how it feels to be run over by a speeding car and yet I can imagine the pain & agony of dogs who were lying in their own Piss and Shit for days after their SPINES fractured! Slowly crying & dying while all of us were acting normally and living our daily lives.
I as a volunteer of SOPHIE MEMORIAL ANIMAL RELIEF TRUST have chosen three such cases which have received almost no help from us in their 10 PLUS Months of stay at SMART SANCTUARY. Lacs have been spent from the pockets of Trustees Kaveri & Yashraj to treat and rehabilitate them. But now they need all of us more than ever.
Now! BITTI , KALI & HEALER want to say something in their own words.
WE are the REJECTS! WE are the ones who were declared "HAVING NO HOPE! ". WE were tagged ' PTS - Put To Sleep!' .
WE are BITTI, HEALER & KALI. WE are all VICTIMS of civilization. WE were hit by racing drivers, WE ALL HAD OUR SPINES BROKEN! WE were told we never would walk AGAIN!.
BUT we were taken happily by SMART SANCTUARY (a unit of SOPHIE MEMORIAL ANIMAL RELIEF TRUST). Our Godparents Kaveri Rana Bhardwaj & Yashraj Bhardwaj cared for all of us like their own!. They put us on best supplements, best medications, and super helpful physiotherapy exercises AND IT WORKED!. WE all started using our hind legs little by little. We started standing without support on all fours :)
But this road has been expensive, challenging & tough for our parents and we still have a long way to go. Amount spent in our care in last 10 months - INR 1.75 Lacs. And there are many more like us at the Sanctuary, abandoned rejected by the world, waiting for their turn to get help!
