To stop this child’s vulnerability, AJSA India started its Bridge School Programme in the year 2016 by enrolling 816 migrant, tribal, child labour children and provide them quality education with the support of learning tools like School Bag, book, copy, pencil, pen, eraser. Now the peoples of the community happily sending their child to our Bridge School because they don’t get any extra financial burden for their child’s education.
Presently AJSA is operating 27 bridge schools in 40 villages with 1520 children. In the Bridge School programme, we are providing joyful learning so that children can interact with each other in a better way. We have added values to our programme by taking care of their health, practicing WASH and giving them the social skill for making them the Agents of social change in their communities.
AJSA is a grassroots level non-government and not-for-profit organisation based in the eastern Indian state of Odisha facilitating community development initiatives since its inception and involved in sustainable development initiatives since 1989. The vision of the organization is to create a society free from hunger, poverty, exclusion and discrimination in which all people have the opportunity to exercise their right to a self-determined life in dignity and justice.
Why we need your help?
As the number of enrollments increases, we need more learning tools. AJSA has limited resources for these large enrollments, but with your support we can fulfill the childhood learning dreams of these underprivileged children with a complete school bag.
