The mission statement of our organization defines our vision.More than a year, we are working for eradicating poverty,imparting knowledge to the women and children. Shrankhla is dutifully committed to offer the basic education and healthcare facilities to the underprivileged and deprived children. We are organizing various awareness programs related to education, healthcare, safety etc among the people of the rural areas. We running a school in Rishikesh rural area and start new school in New Delhi as well. We are planning to expand our service so that every needy could reach to us.
Besides its education programme shrankhla is always active in any social issue like Flood relief ,Earthquake relief,Tornado relief etc. We are committed to serve humanity in any manner.
The 2017 Northeast India floods are caused by overflowing of Brahmaputra river in the state of Assam in July 2017 affecting four Indian states: Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland and Manipur.As of 14 July, 2017, at least 85 people were dead as a result of the flooding and 4 lac people have been affected and 500,000 have been homesless. Nearly 60 animals, mostly deer and wild boars, were perished in the floods.
The flood-affected 15 districts of Assam state that includes Lakhimpur, Jorhat, Golaghat, Sivasagar, Cachar, Dhemaji,Karimganj, Sonitpur, Hojai, Biswanath, Majuli, Barpeta, Chirang, Nagaon and Nalbari. It has also inundated large tracts of Kaziranga National Park, Pobitora Wildlife Sanctuary and Nameri National Park.
Houses, domestic animals, pond with fish, tubewells and crops have been
dangerously damaged. Many are homeless till date and some are rescued to a common place.They are in need of releif supports like food grains, tarpaulins, blankets and clothings….medicare measures etc. after which a long term development process is requested for their proper rehabilitation and security of life including aged women and children along with the domestic animals. Sources of safe drinking water and proper arrangement of hygenic material just to avoid a severe contamination of drinking water are needed to be taken care of.
We are sending you a fact sheet of flood victims so as to have kind support just to give them temporary relief from the flooding situation..alongwith to give them a permanent selter where they can live with there loving ones.
