My name is Manas Pal. My address village is Salboni, Post - Salboni Police Station - Salboni District, Paschim Medinipur, Pin code 721147, State - West Bengal.My elder brother, Tapas Pal, had fever 4 months back. Then he was admitted to Salboni Super Speciality Hospital where it was found out that he had kidney failure. Then, he was referred to the MMCH or any Medical College Hospital that has facilities for dialysis or a nephrology unit. This happened around 4 /6/ 2018.

We admitted him to Sambhunath Pandit Hospital in Kolkata. He had dialysis for a week there. Dialysis patients have to do AV fistula operations. This operation is not done at this Hospital. Patient has to take leave from there and get admission in Kolkata NRS Medical College. He was admitted to the hospital on 18 /7/2018. The next day that fistula channel was operated. Next he was given a leave for a few days. After bringing my brother to the house, suddenly one day started bleeding from the fistula channel.

The next day again we took him to the NRS Hospital where after seeing the channel, the doctor decided to close it and make a new channel as this one was damaged.

Later we found out the doctors could not correct the channel. Then the condition of my brother kept getting worse. So we took him to Pondicherry immediately.

There he got admitted in Jipmer Hospital. The doctors of that hospital adviced to replace the kidneys. My mother wants to donate her kidney to save my brother. We are working to make the transfer happen. The kidney replacement will take place on next month.


Our economic condition is very bad. My father died when we were very young. My mother raised us with help from different people. I do a small job as a civic volunteer at the Salboni Police Station, and my brother was a photographer.

My mother is a housewife. Now we have to spend about 30, 000 rupees per month. After the operation, he has to remain there for 6 to 7 months for regular checkup. Food, car rental, dialysis and other costs one and half million, and in the future it will cost 3,00000-4,00000 Rupee's.

So my personal request ti everyone is that, please contribute any small amount that you can afford to save my brother's life.
