Supriyo Das is a bright young kid all of 20 years. He aced his 10th and 12th grades and was just admitted into the veterinary course at the West Bengal university of Animal & Fishery sciences, Mohanpur ( Nadiya district). Supriyo was recently diagnosed with Transverse Myelitis a debilitating nerve disease and was being treated at Apollo Gleneagles Hospital, Kolkata, India. Since they couldn't afford the expenses they found a cheaper alternative and moved treatment to Charring Cross Nursing Home at Kankurgachi, Kolkata. Surpiyo comes from a family of modest means that has been struggling to meet the expenses of his treatment. His father Mathur Das was a cashier at an agriculture cooperative society in Dantari village in 24 paraganas district, West Bengal that wound up it's operations in 2007-08. Since then Mr. Das has been running a small insurance agency to subsist his family. They don't have the means to bear the expenses of Supriyo's long term treatment. They sold a major part of their holdings and used private donations to raise funds for their son's treatment which is fast depleting. Current estimates for Supriyo's treatment are in the range of INR 2-3 lakhs. Supriyo will have to undergo a physiotherapy regimen after being discharged from the nursing home.
I request you to open your hearts and wallets and donate to this cause. Your contribution is very important for continuing Supriyo's treatment. Please join me in helping Supriyo get back on his feet and achieve his dreams of becoming a veterinary surgeon
