Sanjay 23-year-old young man hails from Dharmapuri district, Tamil Nadu. He belongs to a marginalized community and his parents are daily wage earners. With much difficulty, his parents educated him to acquire a diploma in mechanical engineering.  After completion of the course, he started his own business and was earning fairly well to support his family, as he was the only breadwinner of the family.

Sanjay’s happy and contented life came to a halt, one and a half month before when he met with a bike accident, in which he had severe spinal cord injury at T9 level. This has left him unfunctional since he lost the sensation of lower body, bowel and bladder control. He depends on the others to meet his personal needs.  

At present, his elderly mother is supporting him to meet his medical expenses, with a meager income she earns through daily wage. But this is not sufficient to meet his holistic treatment, as spinal cord treatment is a costly affair.
