Help Teenager Som Survive an Accident That Killed 2 of His Friends

Som is 17-years-old who met with a traumatic accident on 24/4/18. He is severely injured and needs extensive treatment to make it.
His family comes from a very poor background and cannot afford the cost of the treatment.

Despite being admitted with severe internal bleeding and the damaged liver, Som hasn’t given up.

He is suffering from grade 4 liver injury and pelvic fracture and needs urgent surgery.

He has made it so far and is determined to get back to being healthy and active again. However, Som is still not completely out of danger. Doctors are waiting for his pulse to get normal to perform surgery and he needs to stay in the ICU longer to get better. All of Som progress will be in vain if he can’t continue treatment.

On behalf of his family I am starting this campaign, Please come forward for help.

Som is operated successfully and is recovering. Sharing few of his pics from today's morning.

Medical bills paid at the hospital until now, Withdrawn funds were used for payments.

As of now, we have got sufficient funds for Som(Collected collectively from other sources including Friends, relatives, Som's school staff, B. N Hospital's staff, Jammu shivsena party, NCC friends of Som etc ) so we have decided to stop this campaign as of now until some other urgency comes.

We again want to thank everyone who helped this kid recover.

Best Regards,
Vishal

Dear Supporters,

Thank you for your tremendous love and support. Today morning (1 May, 2018), doctors decided to perform pelvic surgery based on Som’s improved condition. It was a 4 hour long successful surgery .

By god’s grace Som is out of danger now and internal bleeding has also stopped. He is able to breathe normally on his own and also opened his eyes, he is recognising his family members very well and also there were tears of mixed emotions in his eyes.

He was shifted to ICU after the surgery and is under observation.

Doctors said that he will be shifted to normal ward in few days and will be able to walk on his own by six weeks. His liver condition is also better now. There is a huge sigh of relief among family members , relatives and friends.

On a telephonic conversation with som’s father , he was deeply thankful to all those who helped them in via this campaign.

He told me “Som ko dusra jeevan mila hai, is sab me un sabhi logo ko shrey jata hai, jinhone bure wakt me hamari madad kari, aap hmari taraf se un sab ko hath jod ke shukriya ada karna, Bhagwan un sabhi ka bhala kare”

I want to thank everyone who helped Som on behalf of his family.

Dear supporters,

Today morning doctors got Som off the ventilator, this is a great sign of relief although his breathing is still not normal but improving and he may require the help of a ventilator in between.

Looking at today's progress doctors decided to postpone the orthopedic surgery to Monday as he will get more time to recover to undergo major surgery and to minimize the surgical and anesthetic complications.

So far we are able to raise 40 % of the total funds required for the hospital expenses, We deeply thank everyone who supported Som in his difficult time.

He is still in ICU and we are having difficulty in getting his photos as mobile phones are not allowed inside ICU but still we will talk them out to get his photo soon.

We request everyone to share this link as much as possible and keep up your good wishes and prayers for Som.
