Help Shrikanth, a Liver Transplant Patient to Get Back to Normalcy

Background
I am reaching out to you through this campaign towards raising funds to meet expenditure relating to my husband’s liver transplant.

My husband was diagnosed with cryptogenic liver cirrhosis, a disorder that occurs without any apparent underlying reason. It is an unfortunate situation considering that he is a teetotaller and no specific reason was identified .

History
On 8th Dec 2017, my husband's liver was transplanted. I was the donor. The transplant was conducted at BGS Global hospitals, Kengeri, Bengaluru. In the last one year, a number of complications arose and were treated promptly.

So far, the medical treatment has cost us upward of  37 lakhs ( see doctors report and bills) for liver transplant operation from live donor, 4 times ERCP, a bypass surgery and numerous medicals tests and scans and  the medications.

This has financially drained us completely and making it extremely difficult to make ends meet.

Financial Constraint
My husband, a runs a small business , that is highly dependent on his active contribution, is not bringing any income. Our son is still in college, pursuing 2nd year Engineering and I am a home maker and cannot seek an alternative job as I need to be at home to take care of my husband.

Considering our current financial situation and an upcoming estimated medical expense (percutaneous billary drainage & followup post procedures) of 8 to 10 lakhs (see doctors letter) we are in a tight corner.

An Appeal
It is in this context that I humbly appeal to all of you to please contribute to the best of your ability and spread this message among families and friends within your Facebook and WhatsApp groups.

We would be grateful and indebted for your help by way to contributions to meeting the medical expense as this will help my husband get back on his feet and our our family a chance lead a normal life.

The funds raised will be used to meet Shrikanth's medical expenses.

We would be highly grateful and indebted for your help.
