    This fundraiser will benefit

    Ridhiman

    from Panchkula, Haryana

Every time Balwant got a call from Ridhiman's school, she would panic and rush, leaving behind everything. It would always be either about his nose bleeding or his uncontrollable abdominal pain. But this has been going on for 8 years now due to Ridhiman's chronic liver ailment and now.

With the Covid-19 wave and constant to and fro trips between the hospital, work has become scarce for Ridhiman's father- Pawan, a driver. He is struggling to make ends meet. Time is running out, and his son needs to get a liver transplant at the earliest, but he can't afford it.

Ridhiman's liver has completely failed now

Ridhiman has always been very weak. He would never go out to play with other kids, but would just watch them play from afar. It took the family 6 years of constant check-ups and MRIs to finally find the reason. Ridhiman has NCPF Liver Disease where his liver function continued to deteriorate until this year when it failed. Now, the only cure is to undergo an urgent Liver Transplantation.

"I could sense something was troubling my child when his belly kept swelling since he was 3 years old. He used to rush to the washroom frequently and his urine was always so dark. We tried to take him to parks to play but he would just sit and complain about his legs hurting. Once when I woke up in the middle of night to check on him, I was terrified to see his face covered in blood. Since that day, I stay awake for the entire night to care for him because I can never forget that day!" - Balwant, Ridhiman's mother

They sold their home but it was still not enough to save him

Ridhiman's parents, Balwant and Pawan, decided to take him to Chennai for treatment when his condition worsened. When they got to know of a Liver Transplant being the only way to save him, they immediately sold their home in the village thinking it would suffice. Little did they know, they would exhaust this amount in just donor-recipient matching tests, and that the actual surgery would cost them lakhs more.

"When I got to know that I matched and I could give my liver to save my son, my happiness knew no bounds. But what good is the match if I can't afford the 20.5 lakhs for the surgery? I'm working multiple shifts as a driver but it will take me a lifetime to earn this huge amount. If I won't be able to gather the funds I'll be filled with this enormous guilt of failing him as a father. We can't delay this... please help me."- Pawan, father

Ridhiman with his family
With every passing day, his symptoms are getting more critical

Ridhiman cannot survive for long with a damaged liver. He has been suffering from Jaundice for three months now. His globulin levels are extremely high, increasing the risk of him getting cancer too. If this continues, it can be fatal for him. He is losing muscle so rapidly that now his body is unable to handle his own weight. With his father being his donor, just a little support can gift a new life to this 11-year old.

Ridhiman's smile will melt your hearts. His maturity in dealing with his liver condition has been inspiring, but now he is scared that he might not make it if his transplant doesn't happen soon.

Ridhiman with sister Arpita who encourages him to participate in School Dramatics Competition
His sister, Arpita, has always ensured Ridhiman stays happy despite his physical restrictions. She encourages him to participate in school plays and also reminds him to take his medicines on time. The entire family is hoping for a miracle now to save their Riddhiman. Can you be that miracle for them?
