When the doctor showed Anitha her twin babies just after she delivered them. the pain and the desperate wait for 25 years disappeared.  “It’s a boy, and a girl”, said the doctor. But within few minutes, the doctor advised them to be taken to intensive care unit. Before Anitha could take a second glimpse of her newborns, she was separated from them. From that day, this mother waits for her twins to come home fully recovered but the financial struggle of her family makes it uncertain.

They were going to be parents, it was an answer to 25 years of waiting
Anitha has always been fond of babies. She never expressed her pain and let it affect her marriage. But Ratan always knew she was never truly happy. The only time she is happy is when she kids. When we came to know that we are going to have a baby, they were in so much joy that they felt so grateful, their life became complete.

Anitha was rushed into surgery, her babies were struggling inside the womb
Ratan looked after his wife and unborn child with great care and affection. With his limited income, he made sure everything is ready for the child's birth. Soon the doctor informed them they are expecting twins. Their joy doubled and they couldn't wait for the day to see their babies. But when she went into the 7th month of pregnancy, something happened. Medical checkups concluded that our babies were unable to get enough blood inside the womb and hence needed to be delivered. The only option left was to get a cesarean done and deliver the babies.

Anitha delivered the premature twins- a boy and a girl.  Immediately after birth, both of them were shifted to the Neonatal intensive care unit. They were underweight and showed respiratory distress syndrome.

Ratan works as a machine operator and earns Rs 10,000 per month. Anita is a homemaker, Whatever they had was used to cover their treatment.

The doctors said that the babies have to be in the hospital for another 2 months. But the boy twin showed signs recovery after few days of treatment and was discharged recently. But the little girl is still in need of help. The estimated cost of the entire hospitalization is expected to be Rs 18 lakhs for the girl twin. Ratan has nothing left to save her.

How you can help
This mother waits for her baby. Her arms long to carry them both and keep them close to her chest, but she cannot. If we can support their treatment, Anitha can get her baby back. Funds raised will support the treatment of the girl twin.
