Support my dad in his fight against end-stage chronic liver disease
My father, Pravin Sangani, is in the battle of his life and he needs your help. For the past 2 years, He has battled liver disease and increasing complications which makes him more weak day by day . The past two years have been been very difficult, full of hospital stays and declining health in which we almost seriously lost him twice. Despite all that, Dad has not given up and neither has our mother, Rita. The cost of their determination, however, has become a burden on its own.
HE HAS TO UNDERGO URGENT LIVER TRANSPLANT
In 2016, the diagnosis of non-alcoholic cirrhosis of the liver came as a complete shock. None of us had any idea what was in store with that diagnosis. After visiting GI numerous times and going through series of test and hospitalization, we also came to final conclusion that liver transplant is the only option. Doctor has given us 15 days to undergo for the surgery.
Mother is donating a part of her liver to save my dad’s life
My father has been diagnosed with End stage Liver Cirrhosis, which means that he has few days left, if a Liver Transplant surgery is not done within few days. His condition is worsening day by day. He is becoming more weak and doesn’t want to eat anything. He is facing new complications every now n then. Doctor told us that he gave him heavy doses of antibiotic (last resort of medicine) when he was admitted last time. But if condition worsen more then he can’t do much to save his life. That’s why my mom came forward to save my father’s life by donating her part of liver.
We are in too much debt already
He is the sole bread earner in our family. The operation cost somewhere around Rs. 25 Lakhs (INR), plus there will be pre and post operation expenses in the form of tests and check-ups, which will cost around Rs. 10 Lakhs. He has been quite ill lately and we have been visiting hospitals almost every second day. The doctors do some quick fixes keep him in the hospital for 5-6 days and we come back, only to visit again after few days. Until now, we already depleted all our saving towards his treatment which costs 8 lakhs including his hospitalization (7 times), tapping, life threatening infections, series of test like biopsy and endoscopy and tried several alternative treatment as well but nothing has worked so far. We are already neck deep in debt.

The doctors have now said that these fixes will only give us time for few more days until we go for a Liver Transplant Surgery. Liver transplant is the last and only option for him.
