Dear Donors,
Thanks to all of you for your support. You will be happy to know that we had supported  more than 2000 cancer patients with medicines, masks and sanitisers during this pandemic times. We have supported the cancer affected kids throughout the year at Kidwai Cancer Hopital. Now we are supporting kids with cancer at Indira Gandhi Hospital with treatment.
We have currently 4 patients for treatment, hence we need your support for them. They are very poor and cancer treatment is very costly, they cannot afford the expensive treatment. Mostly they have come from outside of Karnataka, so we should help them . All kids are very cute and of young age.
Apart from these we celebrate all kinds of festivals with them for their happiness. There are more than 250 kids so we want to give them toys and painting books.
We look forward to many such meaningful contributions from all of you to make lives of the affected kids and ours a bit more enriched!
Thanks,

Little brief about our work -

Hope for Cancer Patients (HCP) founded in 2015 regularly conducts educational and entertainment programs for kids afflicted with cancer who are admitted in hospitals. We use magic shows, puppet shows, game shows, quizzes etc. to share informational nuggets with them. We share prizes amongst them to attract their attention and share important information. We teach them art and craft and talk about life skills and share inspirational stories with them thus inculcating hope and courage. We engage with them at deeper levels and encourage them to speak and share their stories with us.
These are underprivileged kids primarily from the poor strata of the society afflicted with cancer. HCP extends them with help on their treatment with critical medicines, financial help, moral support, food items, shelter and counselling. Hundreds of such young kids are admitted in cancer wards of different hospitals where we from HCP go and engage with them, entertain them, educate them and spend time with them. Except their parents no one goes to visit them. They are in a way left to lead a lonely life without hope and faith. HCP gives them that rare HOPE and enables them to fight back with courage. We spend time with them and infuse a sense of belonging to the mainstream of the society.
Apart from these, we run Cancer Awareness Programs (CAPs) at government schools, slums and villages amongst women, girl children and students in schools. We at HCP are also planning to start mammogram and pap smear tests free for women in villages. Timely diagnostic tests will not only help women identify the disease, if any, at an early stage but will give them awareness and confidence as well.

HCP would need funds within the next 90 days (before end December, 2017) to carry on with its important Cancer Awareness Programs in schools, villages and slums apart from extending medical help to the most needy kids afflicted with cancer and admitted in hospitals.
How will the funds be used?
Funds will be most appropriately used towards treating the poor kids, conducting educational and entertainment programs for them at the hospitals and towards conducting CAP (cancer awareness programs) at schools, slums and villages, more so, with special focus on diagnostic tests like mammogram, pap smear tests for poor women in slums and villages. These are most vulnerable sections of the society who need awareness, support, education and free diagnostic tests so that the disease can be identified early.
Mention the benefits to the donors:
There are a multitude of benefits to the donors.
1. Donors will have a meaningful contribution towards building a better society.
2. They would have given hope and strength to thousands of sufferers to fight back.
3. They would help thousands to become aware about this disease.
4. They would create a pool of positivity and fight back attitude against cancer and such other deadly diseases in the society.
5. They would help save many young lives battling for survival in different governmental hospitals for want of aid, counselling, courage and hope.
6. The donors would finally have helped in making a better society free from the fear of cancer.
