#HelpParvathi: Poor Housewife Parvathi from Kerala is fighting with Cancer. You CAN help her!

45 year old Parvathi, wife of Chandra of Chevaru in Kasaragod district, Kerala is suffering from breast cancer and is undergoing treatment for the same. Family is in utter poverty and unable to bear the expenses of her treatment, they are in need of immediate support from all of you kind hearted donors.

Chandra is a carpenter by profession and the couple have four children. Their eldest daughter is pursuing TTC course and the eldest son is studying in 11th standard. Younger daughter is in the 7th and youngest son is in 5th standard. When they were finding it difficult to bear the expenses of the children's education, Parvathi's ailment has hit them like lightening bolt. The family which is in abject poverty is finding it extremely difficult to bear the hospital expenses. Parvathi is currently undergoing treatment in Father Mullers Hospital, Mangaluru and has also undergone a surgery last Wednesday.

Having already spent about Rs. 75,000, the doctors estimate additional expenses of nearly Rs. 1 Lakh for her treatment. She would further need to rest for about 6-10 months after the surgery. They do not have any other place to live other than their small house. Parvathi has been living at her in-laws place for the last 3 months. Her brother Panduranga had approached Nivedita Seva Mission to seek aid for his sister's surgery. Subsequently, volunteers of Nivedita Seva Mission have pledged to help in raising funds for the purpose. In this respect, they have urged kindhearted people to come forward and help the family in distress.

It is to be noted that the Kerala government has not implemented the Ayushman Bharat scheme in the state, which could have benefited numerous poor families like that of Parvathi. People are still waiting for the Kerala government to come to the aid of Parvathi in any ways.

We appeal to you to donate generously for Parvathi's surgery and post surgery expenses.
