Dear All,

I am a single mother of a young man, who is suffering from kidney failure. My husband died long back because of wrong medical treatment, leaving three kids to be brought up on my own. My eldest son’s kidneys have failed. Our only source of income has been my husband’s pension (Rs 8000) and now my younger son’s salary.

My eldest son fell ill on 12th July, 2013. He was having indigestion, acidity, vomiting, etc. I quickly took him to a hospital in Dibrugarh and the doctor said that it was a minor case of acidity and that there was nothing to be worried about. We returned home and my son continued to take the medicines for the next 3-4 years. However, his health problems recurred and I had to took him to the international hospital in Guwahati. After doing some blood tests, the doctor there told me that my son’s kidneys have failed.

The doctor said my son needs to have dialysis done thrice a week. It was bolt from the blue. We felt lost. I didn’t know how to keep my son alive. My monthly pension is just Rs 8000 and each dialysis costs more than Rs 5000. My son’s condition has only been deteriorating since then. For the last 2 weeks we are getting his dialysis done by taking loans.

Given my financial conditions I cannot manage transplantation costs. My younger son is also not getting his salary as he is not being able to attend his office regularly. He is busy doing rounds of the hospital with me. Our finances have depleted over the years in trying to keep my eldest son alive. We have tried our best, but we have become financially helpless now. I don’t want to see my son die. Hence, writing to you, so that you can help us with the kidney transplantation expenses. Please let me know if you can help us.

Dear All, it is an earnest appeal to help my son to cure. Please help him in whatever ways you can.

Thanks.
