Help 21-year-old Nishant Undergo Small Bowel Transplant

Nishant Nadan a student of age 21 from Katihar ( Bihar )studying in Bhopal (SIRT college) is my brother in law and has to go through small intestine transplantation surgery as soon as possible. This is one of the rarest case in India. Nishant was admitted in Paras Hospital (Patna) on 26th April and doctors found 1.5 litres of Toxic Haemorrhagic fluid on perotoneal cavity and whole of small bowel is gangrene except proximal 15cm of jejunum and distal 10cm of ileum and advised to remove the particular intestinal part because it was damaged totally.

Doctors operated him and removed the particular part that day. He was on a ventilator for 4 days. Nishant was kept under observation for 2 more days. Doctors in Paras hospital could not operate him so they advised and referred his case to AIIMS Delhi.

On 4th May, Nishant was taken to Delhi. On 5th May morning the doctors of AIIMS Delhi went through reports and told the family that this case can not be handled in their hospital and advised them to shift him in Apollo.

His family is in need of your support to help their son.

Dear Supporters,

Thank you for your tremendous love and support. This couldn't have been possible without you.

Nishant is currently doing better than before. He is being observed closely by the doctors for any irregularities. He's at home now. He is undergoing treatment to improve his movements and regular functions. He is required to visit the doctor once or twice a month, depending on his health and his response to the treatment being given to him.

We are all hopeful about his recovery. Please keep praying for him. Thank you all, once again!

Dear Supporters,
Here is an update on Nishant's health.

Nishant was supposed to undergo an Intestine Transplantation but because of the costs of it being so high, he is undergoing Stem Cell Therapy at Apollo Hospital in Bangalore.

He will be admitted for 2 more months so that the doctors can monitor his health and track his recovery chart. He will not be discharged until he is completely stable.
Currently, he is still on a liquid diet and still on bed rest. He can walk but with someone's support. But he is still doing a lot better than he was before.
Someone from his family or one of his friends stays the night with him at the hospital.

Thank you so much for coming forward to help up. Please pray for his recovery.

Regards,
Team Milaap.

Dear Supporters,

The patient Nishant Nandan is been discharged today 8th May at 4:00 pm. As he is on a liquid diet since 26th April. So the Tarak hospital suggested them that the patient can be given liquid diet in any of the local/govt. hospital. As they were now in Delhi the expenses were increasing every day. So the family decided to bring the patient to the hometown Katihar, Bihar, where they are going to admit him in the PURNEA hospital. Where the patient will be given a liquid diet and to keep the patient’s health stable until they get the enough donations to treat him in the biggest hospital. And we are the only hope for them. And also they can save extra money in their city, which they spending in Delhi. The patient will reach Katihar, Bihar on 9th may. The reports of the PURNEA hospital will be uploaded soon once they reach the hospital.

Thankyou
