It has been a month now; Neestha was admitted to a government hospital near her village due to severe fever. There she went through blood test only to discover low hemoglobin after which she was kept on saline for a day.

The hospital authorities already gave a hint of blood cancer after which she was shifted to a private hospital. Over there a blood transfusion was done twice, but all in vain.

Subsequently, she was advised to move to the Goa Medical College for further procedure. A bone marrow test and some other blood tests confirmed the blood cancer after which she was advised to move to Tata Memorial Centre, Mumbai.

At the hospital in Mumbai, some more tests were done so as to know the exact status of the disease. She was diagnosed with a 1st stage blood cancer that requires immediate treatment. The treatment suggested is chemotherapy with intensive care for at least another 8 months.

Neestha’s mother had to leave her job as she needs being with her daughter. Their total family income is not more than Rs. 15000/- per month in which they have to manage a 6 member family.

An estimate of Rs. 6 lakhs (Please see the estimate letter below) have been given by the hospital authorities. Neestha’s mother’s dilemma is such that she can’t work to collect money as she needs to be beside her daughter at the hospital.

It is just next to impossible for her to accumulate such a tremendous amount all by herself. She requires help from all the well-wishers around her so that she can treat her daughter from the ailment and bring her back home hale and hearty.
