Nausheen- 20yrs old & Full of Zeal Vs Battle of Life
Nausheen is 20yrs old and is full of life. However, she has to put up a great deal of effort every single moment to be so. Life is not at all fair to her. She was just a few days old when she developed a very rare disease - Epidermolysis Bullosa. It is a strange disease where even a slightest pressure as eating some solid food can cause blisters in mouth and wearing a wrist watch can cause blisters in hand leading to fingers being fused together. Her fingers and toes fused many times and had to be separated surgically and her food pipe narrowed many times and had to be opened surgically too. She has braved over 29 endoscopies so far! She has lost her nails, all her lower teeth and has only about 4-5 left on the upper side. She can’t wear dentures as that will worsen her situation and only implant can be of help. She is surviving only on liquid diet for months now, but has not stopped living or smiling. The doctors say, Stem Cell Therapy is the next logical step and that might give her some relief. But it all costs huge sum!
Her family, not financially strong but stands strongly with her. Despite her hardships, she excelled in her studies, got a job for herself however that euphoria did not last very long and she had to resign as her health worsened. She lost her loving father last year and the family lost the only earning source.
Nausheen and her family needs help like never before. A proud little girl cringes at this situation where she has to ask for help but her zeal for life makes her hope for better days. She thinks she can do it.
