Help Nagashri Survive

She is just 32 years old and a mother of a 3 year old daughter. Sarcoma Cancer has relapsed not once, not twice, but 3 times in the span of two years. What started as a sarcoma in her thighs spread to the lungs when it relapsed the second time. She was operated in a high risk surgery and she lost complete left lung to the disease along with the removal of diaphragm . She had the zeal to survive and overcame the life threatening operation to only face the monstrous cancer again within span of just 2 months. She now has 6 tumors two of which are near the pancreas. She is a fighter and wants to overcome this once again and is seeking for your help to raise funds. Having multiple chemo therapies, Immunotheraphy and surgeries in the last couple of years has taken toll on the family who are struggling to raise the money needed for future treatment. Since the doctors in India have given up hope on her she is being treated in Singapore which is adding to the complexity for care taking and money. She is currently under chemotherapy and needs 3 months of minimum treatment for the tumors which have relapsed the 3rd time. Looking for any help to save Nagashri so her 3 year old can be with her mom again.

With immense sorrow we would like to inform you all that Nagashri is no more. She gave up her fight to survive on Sunday @ 4 AM. She had her husband by her side during the last hours.

She was a fighter, a warrior and battled the cancer till the very end but unfortunately the dreaded disease had a cruel win.

All your good wishes and blessings are with the family especially her 3 year old daughter. She deserves all the love and strength to cope with the loss. The fund that has been raised will be used for her future and to take care of her education. She deserves a bright life. We will also use the fund to repay the hospital expenses incurred till date.

For those of you who did not know much about Nagashri, few lines below about her. Let us all celebrate her life as she was such an achiever at a young age and contributed so much in this short life that she lived.

She was a renowned poetess and worked heavily in the field of  Kannada Literature. Many of her work, short poems and  stories have been published in leading Kannada new papers and magazines. She also assisted Professor  S Setter of National Institute of Advance Science  on ancient Kannada inscriptions research.

She also released her first book titled ‘Nakshathra Kavithe’ (Translates to Poem of the Stars) just after the cancer relapsed the second time wherein she has shared her heartwarming struggle with the disease and her dedication to her ever loving husband in the form of beautiful poems.

And most importantly a very beautiful human being.

Thanks once again for all the love and support rendered. We lost a battle but we will never stop celebrating her. She will be cherished in our memories forever.
