Help Sampath fight spinal angioma

Sampath is a hardworking honest man who has fought all odds to provide for his family. He fell in love with a widow and her two kids and married her against his family’s wishes. He has been a great father and a loving husband - taking all pains to ensure his kids go to a good school. He started out working in a a stone quarry and then at a tar factory. Eventually, he bought a car on a loan to drive for Ola. Now, when in need, he has no one to help him pay his medical bills - his family refuses to support him unless he leaves his wife.
Sampath is in immense pain due to a spinal angioma and onset of TB, and is slowly losing control over the lower half of his body. Meanwhile his children are at risk of losing out on a good education. His wife fears losing a husband all over again and is inconsolable. Please help Sampath overcome this struggle and he and his family will be forever grateful.

Dear Supporters,

Thank you for your wonderful love and support.

Sampath had his surgery yesterday (25th May'18). He was responding well initially but then started losing sensation in his lower body.

The doctors are currently observing him closely and have told us he might need another surgery. We are all hopeful about his recovery. Please keep praying for him.

Thank you all, once again!

Dear Supporters,

Here is an update for you all.

Recently, Sampath was diagnosed as having an ancillary ailment (for privacy reasons, I will not disclose the same)  - one of the reasons he is suffering from many other complications (such as loss of control over urinary functions and bowel movements, and rapid decline in weight). The diagnosis has doubled the number of procedures to undergo in identifying the exact nature of the tumour in his spinal cord.

We took Sampath to Nimhans where the Nuerosurgeons expressed concern over the nature of congestion in the spinal cord. They stated that given the ancillary ailment, the congestion could be a result of spinal tuberculoma. Post further MRI scans of his spinal and chest region, Sampath was asked to return the following week for follow up reports to determine what invasive procedure would be required. Given his rapid decline in health, he was advised to start treatment for his ancillary ailment as soon as possible.

Treatment for his ancillary ailment is generally an expensive affair - with the monthly treatment for life beginning at INR 1000-3000 per month depending on the stage of the ancillary ailment. In India, certain government hospitals provide treatment at minimal costs, however, it is an extensive process. We took Sampath to a government facility - Bowring Hospital. He his currently taking the multiple tests (further blood, urine tests and scans among other tests) post which treatment would begin. Hopefully, by wednesday, all tests should conclude and treatment should begin.

He has been unable to work for the past month. He has loans and his childrens'
tuitions to pay. His son just completed his eleventh grade (and is an excellent/ambitious student), his daughter is in the eight grade and has always received praise from her teachers for being a diligent student. Sampath's family remains aloof.

Thank you for love and support.
