    This fundraiser will benefit

    Mangala Rahul

    from Ananthapuramu, Andhra Pradesh

“My heart just sank when they told me that Rahul has been diagnosed with cancer. A disease that leaves even the strongest people devastated, now haunts my little boy, and I am terrified of losing him. He is just 5 years old!” - Meena

Rahul suffers from  Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia, a type of high-risk blood cancer that needs aggressive treatment without which this little boy cannot make it.

His cancer began to grow 2 months ago

Last month, Meena noticed that Rahul was not keeping well. He suffered from high fever which refused to go down, and he had to be hospitalised. His blood levels were dangerously low and he had to get blood transfusion to recover. But a week later, his fever returned and they had go through all of it again. When they weren't able to figure out the cause, his parents decided to take him to a bigger hospital.

“After a few tests, the doctors at the big hospital told us that he had cancer. I just didn’t understand how that was possible. He was fine all this while and now cancer? Doctors also said that this disease had been growing inside him since the last 2 months and we had no idea.”- Pandarinatha, father

He needs continued chemotherapy to survive

Pandarinatha is a daily wage labourer who barely earns enough to put food on the table. He is running pillar to post in the hopes of finding a way to arrange the treatment cost, but he is failing miserably.

“I begged and borrowed from everyone I knew to start his treatment. We managed to get his first cycle of chemo done, and the results show signs of improvement too. But I am unable to continue any further and I don’t know what to do now. He needs continued treatment. ” - Pandarinatha

Parents can't afford the treatment, only you can help

Rahul has lost his appetite and barely eats anything. He often complains of body aches and without chemotherapy, cancer will take control of his body and the child will not be able to make it.

He needs chemotherapy and supportive medical care to beat cancer, which will cost these parents around 8 lakh rupees. But they have absolutely no means of affording the treatment without help - your help.

Your contributions can help this little child and give him a chance at living a normal life.
