Kamar Khan is a 35 year old male suffering from Stage 3 Colorectal Cancer.  At this stage the cancer has spread beyond it’s site of origin and has invaded the surrounding tissues and organs.  A stage 3 colon cancer has a 40 percent survival rate but only with the correct treatment regimen.  Chemotherapy has been proven to increase survival rates alongside surgery, medication and targeted drug therapy.


However, all this treatment comes at a considerable cost.  In Mr. Khan’s case each injection of Oxaliplatin and Dexamethasone costs him 30,000 INR.  He urgently requires one particular medication immediately which alone costs 15,000 INR.  If funds could be generated to at least initiate this that would be a major step forward in his treatment.

Mr Khan is a father to two young children, a daughter and son aged 11 and 8 respectively.  He cannot afford clothing for his children never mind medication to save his life.  Indeed, if treatment is not administered very soon there is a high possibility the cancer will progress to stage 4 which has only a 10% survival rate.  Therefore it is absolutely imperative this treatment is sought immediately to halt the progression to a far more serious stage.
