Vulnerable to infections, his life is always in danger
10-month-old Ibrahim suffers from Chronic granulomatous disease (CGD), a disorder that causes the immune system to malfunction, resulting in a form of immunodeficiency. The immune system is not able to protect the body from foreign invaders, such as bacteria and fungi, leading to recurrent bacterial and fungal infections in vital organs. It can result in damage to those tissues causing permanent scarring.It has a cure - a stem cell transplant. This transplant can save little Ibrahim’s life and give him a chance to lead a happy and healthy life. However, the family cannot afford the cost of the treatment.

Sameena is a homemaker and Sujathahulla is an auto driver. In the past couple of months, Sujathahulla has barely been able to go for work as little Ibrahim was constantly fighting one infection after another. Financially, they are struggling to afford even his monthly medications, let alone this transplant.

Doctors have advised that the bone marrow transplant should happen as soon as possible. With each passing day, the complications will only grow and put Ibrahim’s life in more danger than he already is in.
