Why Fundraising? - 365give challenge"ONE CHILD, ONE GIVE A DAY CAN CHANGE THE WORLD." This simple theory led 40 kids from my classroom to take up the 365give challenge. Each kid tries to give something back to the world every day to make the world a better place and change themselves into better human beings. Though my kids are from underprivileged backgrounds, they didn't let their financial constraints let them down. They started their gives with giving smile, handshakes,hi-fives. Over the past 5 months, they went on to planting trees, watering them, teaching lower grade kids, gratitude letters, cleaning up their community, recycling shirts into bags etc.
What are the funds used for?Execution of their dream Projects- (Rs 25000)
Till now whatever they were giving, they made sure that there is no requirement of money. If an idea involved money, they chucked it out. My aim is to not let the lack of funds stop them from dreaming big. For example, Ajay with his friends wanted to paint his community to make it a clean and beautiful place. This idea couldn't be executed because they didn't know how to get the paints. Another kid wanted to clean up a park in the necklace road and many of his classmates wanted to join him. They couldn't afford the transportation costs. One kid came up with the idea of celebrating the 365give day, where we can do a flash mob, pass on kindness cards, organize seva stalls etc. There is no fund for the logistics. For much more such ideas to be executed, they are a high urgency for funds.
Milaap- (Rs 5000)
Since the funds are collected using milaap, a portion of the funds will be transferred to Milaap. Hence, I have included the Extra amount to get the right amount for the kids.
It is not how much you give, but how much love you put into giving! Thank you.
