My father, Mr Anil Kumar has been a very honest and righteous person all his life. He has lived a life full of dignity and self independence. I am his younger son, and he ensured the right upbringing for me, enabling me to go to IIT for my graduate studies. Last couple of years have been different however. He was diagnosed with kidney ailment in June 2014 and after multiple months of treatment and several dialysis sessions, doctors asked us to get a kidney transplant done. He handled this situation with courage, and ensured that we didn't have to go to anyone for any kind of monetary aid. While the treatment for kidney was still undergoing, he was diagnosed with another critical disease of oral cancer. This is when my courage started to shake, and I cursed my luck because I saw my monetary situation dwindling. Soon after getting a surgery done for mouth cancer, my father was diagnosed with tuberculosis which aggravated my problem and I found myself completely hand to mouth. My financial situation completely broke and I couldn't find a way to even save a few thousand for the basic necessities. I broke all my savings. All our immovable property was either sold or put on loan. As it seems, this is not enough. My father has recently been diagnosed with neck (lymph node) cancer, and the doctors have asked to get a surgery done followed by sessions of radiotherapy and/or chemotherapy. The total cost of the treatment will be around 7-8 lakhs. Now we are not even in a situation to get this operation done, and running pillar to post to find support. I have heard of Milaap as a great crowdsourcing platform. I am in desperate need of some support to get this operation done for my father. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
