I, Divyanshu Raj, belong to Saharsa District of Bihar. I am one of this victim whose family have to Settle down under the Kosi Rehabilitation Programme at Purushotam Village, Nauhatta block of Saharsa district. Most of the time our cultivated land affected by the annual flood in the Kosi river.
After a long time my father has got an opportunity to work as State Govt. Teacher of Middle School. To have a better education to me and my elder brother and sisters our family have shifted from village to Ward No. 2, Naya Bazar, Saharsa. To support the family my mother has too working as ICDS worker.
Both of my elder sisters got married and my elder brother is trying to compete an examination for a job. Despite the numbers of odd my father is going to retired this year.
Besides the financial problems my family have supported me to study at Nirmala Niketan (BSW), Mumbai and Delhi School of Social Work (MSW), New Delhi.
I always try to do my best and according have got an opportunity to be a participant of " Jagriti Yatra 2018" a highly ambitious train journey if discovery and transformation. This journey means a lot for me. That is why I am looking towrads your kind support and financially help. So that I can complete the journey.
I am being selected for the Jagriti Yaatra 2018.I am a determined person and have always believed in the value of hard work. The desire to join Jagriti tastes comes from many aspects, but most importantly it stems from the fact that I myself am from the rural background and I know what being heard feels like for the deprived. The fact that inspite of innumerable government efforts such a conflict, such
a huge gap exists between availability and accessibility has always particularly affected me. Since I also have a Master degree in Social work now which essentially deals with the
people and their issues at large, I have gathered an idea about “what is” and now I really want to understand the normative aspect of the problem.
In addition to all of that, I eventually want to become a social entrepreneur and time and again I have had ideas but the clarity in execution has always lacked. This Yaatra as I have listen a lot from my Professor and I myself read a lot about it would,I believe, help me gain a deep insight of that too. And lastly, joining this Yaatra is of immense importance to me. The Yaatra would help me to develop the criticality and radical mindset as I am hoping.
Having the perks of sustaining yourself as well as giving to the community is,I believe, the path to look up to. The multidimensional approach of the discipline is particularly striking.
I am thus determined to join the Jagriti Yaatra which caters to the mission of all missions.
I will be grateful if i will get support.
