    This fundraiser will benefit

    Disha Subedar

    from Jorhat, Assam

“Babies her age start to hold on to things and start walking, but my child...she can’t even sit without being in pain. Her stomach is so swollen that even if she turns a little in her sleep, it will lead to internal bleeding. Her liver is failing and I am unable to do anything...I feel so helpless.” - Sukanya, mother

"Her liver is failing - hurry or it might get worse"

Disha (1) lives in Jorhat, Assam. In July Disha had a high fever and was diagnosed with pneumonia. Soon her health deteriorated quickly and she needed intensive care. But the hospital beds in ICU were not empty. She had to stay in the general ward for 20 days until she was slightly better. But her fight wasn’t over yet.

They asked us to take Disha to Delhi as soon as possible. They didn’t tell us what was going on...just said hurry or it might get worse. Without wasting any time, my husband and I took her to Delhi. There we got to know that her liver was failing and that she needed a transplant.” - Sukanya, mother

25 lakhs? It was way beyond what the young parents had thought - they were hopeless. All they could do was cry and bring their baby home, hoping for a miracle.

I can’t let go of even a single chance to save my baby girl

After coming back, Jabalik and Sukanya haven’t slept peacefully even for a day. They kept looking for ways to save their daughter and finally heard about a hospital in Bangalore that could save her. But still, it was a lot. Rs 16.5 lakhs is still way too much for them to afford.

“I spent everything I had in Delhi. I am a normal salesman with a salary of Rs 7000, all I had was those 2-3 lakhs... how will I ever be able to afford this transplant?"

She cries herself to sleep every night

“It must be hurting her so bad. She can’t express her pain but she can’t stop crying...So I can only imagine. She hasn’t eaten much in the last few days. We try to distract her with toys and videos on the phone..but nothing seems to work. How long will God test us?” - Sukanya

Only a liver transplant can save her. Your help can save this little girl. She can go back home and lead a normal life.
