I am Balaji. I am from Thannikuzhiyil, Perumbavoor. I have been fighting kidney failure for some time now. We are a family of 3. I lost my father 14 years ago.
I have a degree and have a job. But soon repeated incidents of fever and vomiting made me weaker. A detailed checkup revealed that my kidneys are shrinking. I have been on dialysis for a year at Amritha Institute of Medical Sciences, Kochi.
I have to undergo dialysis thrice a week which costs me around 25,000 INR per month. I have exhausted all my savings to pay for the bills in the past year. Doctors now suggest a kidney transplant is the only cure to my condition.
