    Baby of Anusha

    from Bangalore, Karnataka

“A few weeks back, she started having fever and cold. Despite giving medicines, it didn’t go away. And all of a sudden her hands and feet started turning blue in color.  I never thought her cold and fever would turn out to be so dangerous,”- Anusha
In just 10 days, Anusha's daughter's condition worsened so much that she had to be admitted in the ICU. She has severe lung infection and she's unable to breathe properly.  As Anusha consoles her little one who cries in pain each day, she has just one prayer in her heart - that her daughter may get better so that she can take her home soon. But without your help Anusha's daughter cannot recover from this dreadful infection.

Anusha found hope when she conceived again, but now she stands to lose this baby too

Anusha was shattered beyond words when she had a miscarriage during the 5th month of her pregnancy. She found hope and joy when she got conceived just 5 months after the miscarriage. She was extra cautious about her diet and daily chores throughout her pregnancy. And her happiness knew no bounds when she delivered a healthy baby girl two months back.

Anusha’s daughter is out of ICU now. But her life is not entirely out of danger

Anusha’s baby girl was in ICU for 6 days undergoing treatment. Her lungs were severely infected which was affecting her heart. Every breathe was a painful struggle for her and she is constantly crying because of her breathing trouble. Looking at her improving condition, she was taken out of ICU a few days back. But she needs to stay in the hospital and continue her treatment.

“I thought I could finally take my daughter home once she was out of the intensive care. But the doctors said she needs to continue her treatment for a few more days. They’ve told us that infection is still there and she’s yet to recover. If she doesn’t continue her treatment, her condition will worsen again.” - Anusha, mother

Venkatesh works as a construction worker in Bangalore. He gets paid on daily basis and on days when there is no work, he struggles to look after his family. He has borrowed Rs 20000 from his co-workers just to start his daughter’s treatment. While his daily income is barely enough to look after his family now he’s struggling to arrange money to continue her daughter’s treatment.

Anusha wants to save her daughter and she can only do it with your help

While Anusha is taking care of her daughter in the hospital, Venkatesh is running around the city seeking for help. He is in no position to afford Rs 2 lakhs to continue her daughter’s treatment. Anusha just wants one thing - to take her daughter home healthy. But without continued treatment she fears she’ll lose her daughter.
